A sentence that captures the true essence of Pahan Tharuwa 2024, for we shed sweat and tears not only so that you can revisit the pinnacle of the classical era but also to lend a helping hand.
Pahan Tharuwa strives to fulfil three goals.
One of the most important is to assist the underprivileged undergraduates of the Medical Faculty with financial assistance.
More than 50 students have already benefited from the profits earned from the previous shows.
Additionally, in order to benefit all the undergraduates of the faculty, certain funds have been directed to the welfare of the faculty. This includes the construction of a brand new study area named the Arcade to maximise the facilities with the faculty.
Finally, with the Pahan Tharuwa outreach programme, we extend our helping hands to society. For this, the Pahan Tharuwa Outreach programme has conducted a seminar series for the O/L students of Doluwa Central College and a school renovation project at Vidyananda Buddhist Primary College.
The Outreach programme has also successfully conducted 3 health camps to assist the sick, thereby paying homage to our medical forefathers.
